This trip was dedicated solely to the purpose of gathering information on the site we found on Hunt #4. We
broke out the video camera and spent about 2 hours back in the woods at the site, documenting everything
we could.
The trip was not without its weirdness as well. We made a very interesting discovery. We came across a
footprint, made by a hooved animal, in the middle of a pathway. The print was fresh, especially since it had
rained the night before our expedition. The print was 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. The most remarkable
thing about the print is the fact that it is alone... The next closest footprint to this singular one is a
distance of 7 feet 4 inches! This track definitely caught our attention! The next point to ponder about these tracks
is that the trail they made did not appear to be made by a 4 legged creature. Shawn, our resident Eagle Scout,
made that observation. The path was a diagonal path made in more of a 2 legged fashion.
So now what...
Now that we've found a possible house site, what are we going to do? Well, we've got plenty of "hot
spots" to check out... and more research to do on the house site and the mystery footprints surrounding
the area. We're going to follow any leads we can get in regards to recent sightings as well.
Well, that's our story for Hunt #5. Questions? Comments? E-mail us at [email protected].
