What better thing to do on a Friday the 13th with a blazing full moon? Of course the house foundation was irresistible. So, Mike, Bel and I packed up the gear and off we went. This was Bel's first hunt with us, so of course she had to see the house.

This was a great time. We went out there, and the first things we find are tracks and noises. Within a few minutes, it sounded like we were being followed by something in the dense brush.

There were obvious hoof-like noises off in the distance. We'd hear them occasionally, and then more frequently. Then whatever was creating the noise got tricky. We'd hear a noise in front of us, focusing our lights in that direction and straining our ears to hear it. Then, another noise would come from behind us, so we'd turn around and do the same thing. Each noise was significantly louder and closer, circling us.

This one counted as a creepy hunt. There was definitely an eerie feeling in the air that night. Perhaps it was just superstition, but it was a good time anyway.

We never did figure out what the source of the noises was. Eventually we had to leave. And of course, I found scratches on my car... they always mysteriously appear after every hunt...
