Well... if we thought the first one was hellish, this one was the Underworld for sure! The filming took place
over several days. The crew was Canadian. Much different than the Fox crew in terms of how they ran things. They
only fed us a couple of times, but at least they were decent enough to make a donation to our organization. The
filming took about a week to finish.
We were in Leeds Point just about every day. For the most part, we did similar things to the Fox special.
Showing the same spots, talking about the same stuff. Harry Leeds is even in this one, too. They got a little
bit of stuff from Ray Miller and Jim McCloy, but we didn't get to meet them this week.
The crew actually came to work with us one night too. We did some ambulance sequences, since we all worked
for Alert Ambulance at the time. It's funny, at one point they wanted to get a sequence where we'd be running.
All of us sternly put our feet down, stating "we don't run out of the woods". If only we'd known that
Fox was going to show me running. I'd forgotten I even did that!
This filming was a little more interesting than the first, in terms of Jersey Devil activity. We found tracks within
15 minutes of their making. The directors were freaked, since they kept hearing hooves around us. And of course,
we had to scare the crap out of the producer (who locked herself in the van while we were shooting and
wouldn't come out) by sneaking up on her and making low growling noises into our microphones while she was
monitoring sound.
I'd like to thank Gryphon Productions for allowing us the use of the photographs on this page (to the right).
Well, that's our story for Hunt #11. Questions? Comments? E-mail us at [email protected].
