I was sleeping when I was awoken by what sounded like a squirrel scraping on the top of my roof, and I sleep in the attic. I woke up and listened. I'm used to hearing squirrels scurrying on my roof so that's what I assumed it was, but then it got very quiet. I was curius what it was, so I pounded on the roof and I heard what sounded like huge wings flapping swiftly. I rushed to my window that overlooks my driveway and tried looking up, but I didn't see anything. I still heard that flapping noise. I was staring upward when I finally saw what looked like a winged horse with huge wings flying over my driveway and over the top of some trees in my yard. It then proceeded to fly into woods near my house.
The creature had giant black wings, which appeared to be feathery. Its feet and back legs were tucked up under its stomach and its feet appeared to have claws. I didn't catch a glimpse at its front arms or legs, but I did see a brief - very brief - glimpse of its eyes. They will forever be locked into my memory. They were bright red and looked almost like they were glowing. As it flew away I heard a deep growling sound emit from it.
