We were driving
north on Old New York Road and decided to turn around and go back home, since it was getting late and we
had class in the morning. As I was doing a k-turn in the road, something flew out of the tree directly in front of us. I have no idea what it was. At first, I thought maybe it was a huge bird like a stork, pelican, or heron or something, considering its wingspan was a good 4 feet wide. But when it swooped down past us and went under the streetlight, it didn't look like a bird. I could have sworn it had the wings of a bat. The thing I could best compare it to would be one of those pterodactyl dinosaurs. It flew a great distance very quickly, however it seemed like it flapped its wings very slowly. This was really weird, and I can't think of anything else it could have been except for the Jersey Devil.
