My family and I were going on a trip all over the U.S., stopping at state parks and trails as we went along.
When we were near Wharton State Forest, my husband pulled over. We were planning to make sandwiches for a quick
meal before we were on the road again. As we were eating I happened to look up and see a HUGE creature flying
over us. Our first thought was that this was a bird... a LARGE bird. It flew over us and landed down by the stream.
Without even stopping to look at it, we were in the car driving down the road!
This...thing was almost as tall as me! I couldn't see what color it was but it was a darker color. All I
remember was that the bottom half of it had these claws (I guess you would call them). I drew a picture the
next day trying to recollect what I saw. It somewhat reminded me of a pterosaur. I dont think I will be coming
back to New Jersey any time soon. California is much safer.
