I am not crazy but I saw something very strange. My cousin and I were
sitting at a red light around 10pm on Delsea Drive. Out of the woods we watched in awe as this "thing"
hopped across the street and into a dark lot. At first we just looked at each other and laughed because to us,
we had just seen a kangaroo run across the road in NJ!! It was about 4 feet high, had a long pointed noise almost
like a horse or a possum. It ran on 2 legs or haunches with very small arms. It had very pointed ears as well. I
had never seen anything that looked remotely like this in my life. We immediately turned the car around and shined the
car lights into the lot but we saw nothing. I can't believe it could have just disappeared so fast!
We went home and told everyone what we had seen but of course they just laughed. We almost called the police to
see if there were any strange animal sightings in the area that evening. The other day we were describing it to someone
and they said it sounds like the Jersey Devil. We checked out a few websites and lo and behold, many of the drawings we
found were exactly what we had seen! I am now convinced that it was the Jersey Devil and believe me, I had always been the
biggest skeptic about these things.
