Coming home from a friend's house, me and my two sisters were joking and laughing and just goofing off. I noticed the streets were deserted, which they usually are at that time of night. But something felt eerie. Then a high pitch scream scared me and my sisters. Since we live close to the Bayonne Bridge, we started to look for what was making the noise. We all thought it was a rat or possum. At that time we saw a creature flying up and over the bridge. It flew weird, like something I had never seen before. Then it perched itself on top of the bridge and let out another head-splitting scream. As it did this, it spread its wings. It was well over a 20 foot wingspan, the creature seemed to be about 5 feet tall. It then dove into the Kill Van Kull, and that was it.
