The Delivery Encounter |

I deliver pizza in Hackettstown and it was my last delivery of the night. I pulled up to a house and got out of my car when I started to hear sounds from the woods about 25-35 ft. away (sounds of branches breaking and leaves rustling). I kept going to the door, thinking that is was a deer or raccoon. I knocked on the door and when the lady answered the door her jaw dropped as if she had seen a ghost. I turned to see two huge, red, glowing eyes about ten feet up from the ground at the edge of the woods. Her dog ran past us towards the woods and her husband came to the door to see what we where looking at. When the dog hit the edge
of the woods we heard a yelp, the lady screamed and then the creature let out a horrific sound (it sounded as if 50 of each animal and human type alike cried out). We tumbled over each other running in to the house and the lady locked the door. I called work and told them I had had car problems and would be back later - as I was on the phone with them we heard the screech again and my boss said, "someone; should calm that baby down." Thirty minutes went by and I didn't see anything outside, so I ran to my car and took off back to the shop. The next morning around 8am I went back to the house and the three of us went to the woods to look around - all we saw was some blood and giant size deer prints. I don't know what it was, but I am on the day shift from now on!
