The Holmdel Incidents

Location: Holmdel, NJ Date: February 4th - 5th, 2000

I swear to you that this is true although I have no evidence to prove it. I have been doing a lot of research on the paranormal in New Jersey and have visited many sites on it. It's kind of a hobby for me. As you know about 2 weeks ago we had a large snow fall and on February 4, 2000 at approximately 5:15 pm I found what I thought were deer prints but the hooves were too large and more narrow than any deer prints I have ever seen. They had little claws - it almost looked like a giant bird/deer print but I knew it couldn't have been. Since the snow was fresh on the ground, I knew it was made only within a few days. As I started tracking them into the woods, I found splotches of what I thought was blood and the footprints were surrounding them like it was attacking it. What startled me was that there was many of these things and by the difference in the sizes of the footprint some were very little or infants. But the most startling thing was the high pitched screams I had heard the night before and it sounded like it was right outside my bedroom window. I was very scared at what that was and when I had found the tracks, I knew it had to have been that thing, what ever it was. Me and my brother were the only ones who had seen this.

Well, being it my hobby, I decided to go out at night to find or hear what that thing was. I had taken out my dog (for protection) and he started barking like crazy - I couldn't explain it. When he paused, I heard it for a second time. It came from the woods and it sound like it was moving south east, but I couldn't verify it. I haven't heard or seen it since then, except for one instance when my sister went out to walk the dog - she said he was barking like crazy (he rarely barks unless he hears something or smells something unusual) again so I went out with her and heard rustling in the woods. My dog continued to bark until it stopped rustling but my sister and I were too frightened to stay outside any longer.
