Claude's Sighting

It was early May, around 2am, when I was awakened by what I can only describe as a very high pitched scream. It seemed like it was right outside my window. I got up and looked out to see what I can only describe as a white or grey colored thing, it had wings, kind of like a swan, a longish neck and a large head like a deer, it stood on two legs and had its back to me. It wasn't larger than 4 feet tall. My window was open a bit but not too much, but the screams were like it was one foot from my house. It was about 80 - 100 feet away near my kid's swing set. It seemed either fascinated or confused by it, since it was standing there for what had to be about 4 minutes. I wished that the sky would brighten so I could see this thing better, but with each scream the hairs on the back of my neck would stand on end. I watched it for the duration of its visit when all of a sudden it just sprinted out of the yard into the treeline out back. The next day I did go back there to see if there was any evidence. I didn't see any footprints, but I did notice that the horse swing had a scratch on its head as if it had been bitten. I don't know what I saw, and I really don't care to see it again. The sound it made I will never forget. I believe it was the Jersey Devil.
